The destination seems right. I understand it is about 7 hours drive from Beijing. I agree with your suggestion for a standard van. Will it accommodate 6 persons including driver comfortably?
The tentative itinerary is:
Dep Bejing - Aug 16 for Saihanba Park Forest
Aug 16-18 - Stay at Saihanbu Forest (3 nights)
Aug 19 - Departure for Beijing
During our stay at Saihanba, we will use the car to drive to scenic spots which should be about 3-4 hours driving per day.
